Action Projects

The Action Projects module allows you to manage all your measures centrally and make the best investment decision.

Create an action

An action is defined by a name, description and status. We have four different statuses, of which some require additional input:

  • Idea

  • Planned

  • Implemented

  • No longer in use (action is implemented but no longer in use)

Calculation of payback period

For actions that are in the Idea or Planned phase, the system calculates the payback period based on the estimated investment cost and estimated yearly financial savings.

Calculation of (possible) savings

In order to calculate the (possible) savings of an action, the system requires yearly estimated savings. As soon as an action goes to the implemented status, you can add actual savings as well, in order to obtain more accurate numbers.

Savings can be entered for:

  • CO2 (required)

  • Electricity

  • Gas

  • Fuel

  • Other financial impact

In the action card, you can see the consolidated numbers or more detailed information by switching the view using View details/Hide details.

All savings (estimated and actual) can be negative values. For example in case of electrification where your electricity consumption will increase.

Per action the system calculates the

  • possible yearly savings for Idea or Planned actions.

  • savings so far for Implemented actions. These savings are calculated on a daily basis, starting from the action’s implementation date, and are based on estimated (or actual) yearly savings. This allows you to track the cumulative impact of your actions in near real-time, giving clear insight into daily progress toward your savings goals.

  • total saved for No longer in use actions. These savings are calculated based on estimated (or actual) yearly savings for the duration of the action.

The system also calculates the total (possible) yearly savings of all logged actions.

  • Savings of actions that are in the Idea and Planned phase, are being summed into the possible yearly savings.

  • Savings of actions that are in the Implemented or No longer in use phase, are being grouped into the total energy savings. These are the accumulated/realised savings of implemented actions.

Delete an action

An action can only be deleted when it is in the Idea phase.
