Emission Factors
The Emission Factors submenu stores conversion factors that translate your CO₂ inputs into actual emissions (CO2 equivalent values).
The emission factors provided by Enelyzer are primarily sourced from Base Carbone (ADEME).
Additional values have been included for:
European grid electricity - reported by AIB, including both market- and location-specific values
Refrigerants - reported by IPCC.
USA grid electricity - reported by EPA.
To see the complete list of emission factors and their corresponding value you can go to the 'Emission factors' tab.
Managing Custom Emission Factors
If a required emission factor or value is not available in Enelyzer, you can create and manage your own.
Create a new emission factor
In the 'Emission factors' page, select 'Create emission factor'.
Enter the required details (name, category, unit, value, etc.) and save the factor.
Manage factor values
After creation, you can manage custom emmision factor:
Add a value → Each emission factor can have one or more values (versions) assigned. Click 'Add value', provide the value and corresponding validity period, then save.
Edit a value → Select the value or period you want to update, adjust the details, and save changes.
Delete a value → Select the value and confirm deletion.
Delete a factor → Open the emission factor and press the delete button.
Emission factors that are assigned to one or more CO₂ entries cannot be deleted. To quickly check which entries are linked to a certain factor, use the filters in the Emissions overview table.
Notes
Each factor can store multiple values across different years/periods.
Deleting a value cannot be undone.
Updated or new values are applied to entries using that emission factor after (forced) recalculation.
