Charts

The platform allows the creation of charts in a dashboard.

Chart Types

Enelyzer supports the creation of four different chart types.

  • Time series chart

  • Pie chart

  • Min max

  • Year Compare

Create a chart

To create a chart, click on the Add chart button in the edit mode of a dashboard. This will open up a side panel where you can select what chart type you would like to use.

Times series

A times series chart allows to display one or more tags for a selected period of time in a stacked bar chart (line and column combination possible) or a side-by-side bar representation.

Configuration:

  • Title of your chart

  • Type of bars

  • Date range you want to visualize on the chart

  • Group data or opt to show ungrouped data

  • Option to show/hide the legend

  • Add one or more data series and specify its name, colour, choose bar/line visualisation, and the axis on which the tag needs to be represented on

  • Optionally name the left axis and define axis range (automatic or min/max values)

  • Optionally name the right axis and define axis range (automatic or min/max values)

  • Gridlines can be activated on one y-axis only

Press Save to generate the chart.

PRO TIP: You can use a formula directly in a chart by using the formula builder on data series selection. This allows you to do basic calculation with multiple tags.

More complex calculations require the creation of a virtual tag.

Pie chart

A pie chart allows you to display data of one or more tags over a specific period and visualize it as a pie chart.

Configuration:

  • Title of your chart

  • Date range you want to visualize on the chart

  • Option to show/hide the legend

  • Option to display data labels (percentage and/or value)

  • Add one or more data series and specify its name and colour

Press Save to generate the chart.

Min max

A Min max chart displays the average, maximum and minimum values of a single tag over a selected period.

Configuration:

  • Title of your chart

  • Date range you want to visualize on the chart

  • Option to show/hide the legend

  • Add one data series and specify its name and colour

  • Optionally name the left axis

Press Save to generate the chart.

Year compare

A year compare chart allows you to display data of one or more tags over a select few years. This is useful to compare consumption between different years.

PRO TIP: In case you have multiple data series, you can visualise just one series by clicking on the series itself in the legend. If you want to remove a series from visualisation, you need to Ctrl+Click on that one.
